AGE RULE: Due to Cal Ripken, Babe Ruth rules, we are unable to make any exceptions to the "baseball age" rule, as defined by your player's age on April 30. We understand that some players are very close to the cutoff. However, no exceptions will be allowed, under any circumstance. Thank you for your understanding.

 

Spring Baseball

Open to all players ages 7-15 as of April 30, 2021. 

Cost: $220 per player($50 discount 2nd child, $100 discount 3rd child)

League Descriptions (ages subject to change)

A (Ages 7-8):  Developmental league in which players learn and develop fundamentals of baseball through practice and games. Players do not pitch. There are no playoffs. Player must be a "baseball 7 or 8", as determined by Cal Ripken age cutoff of April 30. 

AA (Ages 8-9):  Developmental league in which players continue to learn and develop fundamentals of baseball through practice and games. Players pitch to each other. There are no playoffs. Player must be a "baseball 8 or 9", as determined by Cal Ripken age cutoff of April 30, no exceptions.

AAA (Ages 10-11):  Competitive league in which players learn advanced baseball skills, such as stealing. There are standings and single elimination playoffs. Player must be a "baseball 10 or 11", as determined by Cal Ripken age cutoff of April 30, no exceptions.

Majors (Ages 11-12):  Competitive league in which players continue to fine tune their advanced baseball skills. There are standings and double elimination playoffs. Player must be a "baseball 11 or 12", as determined by Cal Ripken age cutoff of April 30, no exceptions.

Raimo (Age 13):  Competitive league in which players play on the big diamond and learn new skills, such as leading and holding runners. There are standings and single elimination playoffs. Player must be a "baseball 13", as determined by Cal Ripken age cutoff of April 30, no exceptions.

Babe Ruth (Ages 14-15):  Competitive league in which players continue to fine tune their big diamond baseball skills. This is a transition to the high school program. There are standings and single elimination playoffs. Player must be a "baseball 14 or 15", as determined by Cal Ripken age cutoff of April 30, no exceptions.

 


NOTE: No indoor Winter workouts in 2021
Winter Workouts

MYB Winter Clinic: Sunday afternoons/evenings
Location: Marblehead High School Field House

Intense focus on fundamentals of baseball. Hitting, fielding, pitching, throwing. The goal is to get kids
in shape for the Spring season and to HAVE FUN! No Experience Necessary!

Cost: $50 for the first player, $25 for additional players from the same family.

Player must be at least a "Baseball 7" (Age 7 on April 30, 2019)

2020 Dates:  February 23, March 1, 8, 15, 22


Age 7-8:          5 - 5:50 pm
Age 9-10:        6 - 6:50 pm
Age 11-12:      7 - 7:50 pm
Age 13-15:      8 - 8:50 pm



Spring Clinic (TBA for 2021)


The Introductory Clinic is designed to provide a fun and safe environment for our youngest players to learn baseball.  The clinic meets on two Saturday mornings beginning in June and is a mix of instruction/demonstration, practice and games. The clinic is a great way to learn the fundamentals and build the basic skills all ballplayers need. Clinic is the perfect transition from t-ball to single A.

Players Eligible: Any players with a DOB between 5/1/2014 and 4/30/2015.
